More on Branding through Your Website, by Branding Expert Libby Gill

Well everyone, we’re more than a week into our year-long discussion on branding! For those of you just tuning in, I’ll be covering what branding is, why it’s important and how to create (and achieve) a successful branding – or REbranding campaign (if your business has hit a lull and needs a kick in the rear).  Remember that as you think about the building blocks of your business, think of your brand as your foundation. One MUST in your branding effort is definitely a great website.  And that means visual appeal.  I’m not saying your site has to be beautiful or that it needs to win any graphic awards.  But if it looks boring, dated, amateurish or doesn’t reflect your personality – and by that I mean the personality of your business or product – that’s a big problem.  You’re practically inviting people to go away the minute they come here.   Like going to a party, taking one look inside and saying not for me and making a u-turn at the door.
